The body image collection looks at the imperfections that our society tries to erase. These are the parts of our bodies, that tell the stories of who we are. We should celebrate them and that’s what this raku “belly” does.

During the creation of raku the pottery undergoes a considerable amount of stress.

While it makes them extremely beautiful with their unique cracks and black details. It also makes them very fragile and means they can only be used as decorative items.

Due to the porous nature of raku using them to hold water is not recommended.
